Leukemia
Welcome!
This first piece is a 5 by 25-foot floor mural: Leukemia. The mural is part of a large art installation in an old mattress warehouse on Mississippi Avenue in North Portland. Over 30 artists have work on display. The opening will be a fundraiser for neuroregenerative research and will feature live music by Japanther, Show Me the Pink, and mm/dd/yy. After May 31st, the building will be torn down and replaced by 700 condos that no one can probably afford to live in. The closing event will be part of Last Thursday, so if you can't make it to the opening, come by for the closing reception.
This is our first project with CLOT. We are three women, Mia Nolting, Rashel Peddersen, and Anna Rockwell, who have begun this collective in response to our personal experiences with someone close to us who is being treated for or has survived Leukemia.
